Applanix announces Geokosmos of Moscow to distribute Applanix systems

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix announced today that it has entered into an agreement which grants Geokosmos (Moscow) exclusive distribution rights to the Applanix line of Position and Orientation (POS) systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, Geokosmos, a geospatial industry leader in land and airborne survey applications, will act as exclusive distributor in Russia, the Baltic States, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), representing the Applanix POS products in that part of the world.

Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Blake Reid, President of Applanix stated, "We believe that Russia, the Baltic States, and the CIS are priority markets for the promotion of our products. The Applanix POS systems, and the new DSS Digital Sensor System, are specifically designed for applications that require high dynamic positioning and orientation accuracy.
