Applanix Announces POS LV 220 and POS LV 220 RT

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix announces the release of POS LV 220 (Position and Orientation System for Land Vehicles 220). This is a lower price version of the POS LV 420, which has been used around the world in such precision applications as road profiling and vehicle testing. The POS LV 220 has the same features as the POS LV 420, but uses different Inertial Sensors.

Applanix POS AV used for World Trade Center Wreckage Survey

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix's POS AV (Position and Orientation System for Airborne Vehicles) is at the heart of a number of LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and aerial camera systems used for aerial surveys of the World Trade Center wreckage. The survey data is being used to coordinate the recovery and clean up efforts.

Applanix and Ordnance Survey Great Britain announce product sale

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix and the Ordnance Survey Great Britain are pleased to announce that the Ordnance Survey has purchased two Applanix POS AV-DG^™ Position and Orientation systems. The Ordnance Survey will use the POS AV-DG systems to directly georeference aerial images captured by its survey airplanes for mapping applications.

Huntsville, Ala., and Richmond Hill, ON, February 27, 2001 - Z/I Imaging Corporation and Applanix Corporation announced today that they have signed an OEM agreement to offer a version of Applanix's POS AV Position and Orientation System in Z/I Imaging's product line. The two companies have also agreed to work together to develop software for automatic post-processing of POS AV data.
