Applanix Introduces New Versions of POS LV 210E and 220E for Worldwide Use
RICHMOND HILL, ON, CANADA, June 14, 2012 – Applanix, a leader in products and solutions for mobile mapping and positioning, introduced today two new versions of its POS LV positioning and orientation systems for land mobile mapping: the POS LV 210E and POS LV 220E. Delivering the same functionality and industry-leading performance as the existing POS LV 210 and 220, these new systems use commercial technologies that can be offered globally.
Based on Applanix' proven, tightly-coupled, integrated inertial technology, the POS LV 210E/220E are turn-key aided inertial navigation systems with:
- An Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
- An integrated Trimble® BD982 GNSS Receiver
- A wheel-mounted Distance Measurement Instrument (DMI) and
- Optional GPS Azimuth Measurement System (GAMS)
