Steve Woolven

Steve Woolven is President of Applanix Corporation. As a senior executive he has extensive leadership and management skills in the areas of product business development, marketing, sales and support, and research and development. His technical expertise covers a wide range of disciplines including inertial sensor/GNSS technology, signal and image processing, sensors, and systems design. He is a published author on a variety of technical topics including Aided Inertial Navigation Systems for Submersible Vehicles and System Performance with Tightly-Coupled Inertial/RTK GNSS Integration.

Steve holds an B.A.Sc. Division of Engineering Science, Electrical Option, University of Toronto, a M.A.Sc., Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Toronto, a PhD, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Toronto. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Institute of Navigation (ION).

Bruno Scherzinger

Bruno Scherzinger is the Chief Technology Officer at Trimble Applanix, where he is responsible for advanced navigation technology development and the core navigation technology behind the Applanix product line of Position and Orientation Systems. Prior to Applanix, Bruno was with Honeywell Canada’s Advanced Technology Centre, where he worked on military navigation systems development. He obtained his B.Eng. degree from McGill University in 1977, followed by M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in System Control Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1979 and 1983 respectively. Bruno is a recognized authority on aided INS in the navigation community with over 20 years’ experience in GNSS-INS integrated navigation systems technology. He is a member of the IEEE and the Institute of Navigation and the inventor or co-inventor in over 15 patents. In 2015 Bruno was appointed as a Trimble Fellow, acknowledging his technical leadership across the Trimble organization.

Radley Perera

Radley Perera is the Controller, and is responsible for all financial, administrative, and contractual functions within the company. His senior financial expertise in financial reporting, business operations, auditing, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting has given Radley an acute perspective on the business needs of companies operating in the high-tech sector, and as such, brings a valuable business dimension to Trimble Applanix. Radley holds professional qualifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-USA), Chartered Accountant (CA-SL), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA-SL) and an MBA from Walden University. He has also completed various TQM/ISO 9000 programs including certification as Lead Auditor. He started his career at KPMG, and developed his corporate-level financial management expertise through previous appointments at Orange S.A. (formerly France Telecom), Rogers Communications Inc. and Provident Energy Management Inc.

Joe Hutton

Joe Hutton is the Director for Inertial Technology, Land, and Airborne Products at Trimble Applanix, where he is responsible for new business development and overall product direction for the land and airborne businesses, as well as the development of inertial technology. Joe has been with Applanix since 1991. He obtained his B.A.Sc degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto in 1989, followed by a M.A.Sc. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies in 1991. Joe has over 18 years experience in GNSS-INS integrated navigation systems technology and its application to mobile mapping and surveying. He is a member of ION and is a licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario.

Peter Stewart

Peter Stewart is Director of OEM and Marine products at Trimble Applanix, responsible for the development and implementation of business strategy for the company’s marine and OEM products and solutions, as well as for product development activities. Peter holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Topographic Science from the University of Glasgow, and a M.Sc.E. in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering from the University of New Brunswick. He has worked for Applanix since 2000 in a variety of technical and commercial roles within the Marine segment.

Eric Liberty

Eric Liberty is the Director of Sales at Trimble Applanix, responsible for leading the sales team in providing exceptional business-to-customer communication and sales services. Furthermore Eric is responsible for the overall strategic sales plan for Mobile Mapping and Positioning Solutions.Eric holds an MBA from the University of Toronto. Eric Liberty joined the company in October 2006 as DSS Product Manager. Previously, Eric had worked with Optech managing sales activity for airborne and land lidar systems.
