Applanix Chooses INPHO for DSS 322 Airborne Digital Sensor Data Processing

RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO – Applanix has chosen the INPHO suite of software tools as the recommended workflow to produce directly georeferenced digital orthophoto products with the Applanix DSS 322 digital aerial camera solution. INPHO software provides DSS users with a smooth, seamless, linear, and automatic process for transforming digital aerial images into complete orthorectified georeferenced data products.

The INPHO digital orthophoto production workflow in conjunction with the Applanix DSS consists of an automatic digital terrain model (DTM) from DSS stereo pair generation environment (MATCH-T), a quality assurance and editing component for DTM data (DTMaster Stereo), and an orthophoto production and mosaicking module (OrthoMaster and OrthoVista). When an existing DTM is available, only the OrthoMaster and OrthoVista products are required to produce full orthomosaic products.

The DSS Digital Sensor System is a ready-to-use, directly georeferenced, medium-format, airborne digital camera system. A mapping-quality alternative to large-format digital cameras, the DSS 322 is the leading digital imaging answer for aerial surveying and remote sensing applications that require a rapid yet cost-effective solution. Guiding the DSS 322 (or acting as a standalone flight management solution) is the new POSTrack system, the first fully integrated, real time direct georeferencing flight management system available.
