Applanix Unveils New Compact POS MV WaveMaster at U.S. Hydro 2005 Conference in San Diego

RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO – Applanix today unveiled its new compact POS MV WaveMaster (Position and Orientation System for Marine Vessels) at the U.S. Hydro 2005 conference in San Diego further enhancing the company’s presence in the marine market.

Built on Applanix proven integrated inertial/GPS technology, POS MV WaveMaster provides the marine industry with robust, reliable and repeatable position and orientation in all dynamics. WaveMaster delivers a full six-degree-of-freedom position and orientation solution and comes in a rugged, compact form factor. All POS variables and timing information are available as motion compensation and georeferencing data for use with all multi-beam sonar systems.

WaveMaster generates a tightly-coupled solution to provide continuous position and orientation information while operating in areas with limited satellite availability, or where GPS reception is subject to the effects of multipath and signal loss.
