Applanix makes mission planning utility available free of charge to the Aerial Survey & Remote Sensing industry
RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix announced today that the Company's airborne Digital Sensor System Mission Calculator software has been made available free of charge to professionals and other interested individuals within the aerial survey/remote sensing industry.
The software has been specifically designed to take much of the guesswork out of planning image coverage for aerial survey/remote sensing projects. In keeping with the DSS' key attributes, the Mission Calculator is innovative, yet simple and straightforward to use presenting the user with the required digital image coverage based on factors for their particular project flight.
When asked about the new software, Joe Hutton, Director of Airborne Products at Applanix, commented, "We are very much aware that digital imagery is quickly becoming the preferred medium within the industry.
