POS™ products now available with Trimble® receivers

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA – Applanix^™ announces that a number of POS (Position and Orientation System) products will now be available equipped with Trimble GPS receivers. In dual frequency and RTK applications the Trimble BD750^™ receiver will be used, and the BD112^™ for single receiver situations.

The POS family of products have established themselves in airborne, land and marine markets by combining GPS with inertial sensors for robust positioning and orientation.

"This is a natural extension of POS," said Steven Woolven, Applanix's Director of Engineering. "We can now give customers a choice of GPS receivers based on their requirements. The Trimble receivers are known for their reliability and performance, and we are pleased to be able to offer the option to our customers."
