Applanix Announces POS LV 220 and POS LV 220 RT

RICHMOND HILL, CANADA - Applanix announces the release of POS LV 220 (Position and Orientation System for Land Vehicles 220). This is a lower price version of the POS LV 420, which has been used around the world in such precision applications as road profiling and vehicle testing. The POS LV 220 has the same features as the POS LV 420, but uses different Inertial Sensors.

POS LV 220 is available with the RT option, which dedicates the system to Real Time data processing. POS LV 220 RT is an ideal low cost solution for such applications as roadway video logging – where there is no need for post processing.

"POS LV 220 is perfect for environments in which continuous positioning is important during occasional GPS outages – while under overpasses, or other occasional cover," said Manfred Sever, POS LV Product Manager. "For a lower price, POS LV 220 provides precise and robust positioning during occasional GPS outages."
