PROFIT magazine is a widely read Canadian publication – "the Business Resource for Canadian Entrepreneurs". Each year, they research and publish a list called the "Profit 100 Companies". As the publication themselves put it "These companies experience growth that is more than dazzling – it’s downright blinding. The average Profit 100 firm doubles its sales every 11 months." In his letter advising Applanix of their success, magazine publisher Rick Spence stated "your organization’s performance has placed it among Canada’s top growth leaders, strategists and innovators."
